Built on Viberg's 2030 last, a classic silhouette featuring a sleek-low profile, elongated toe shape and standard width designed to fit most feet. Originally crafted in 1931, the Service Boot is a timeless design inspired by standard issue military boot patterns. The boots have a minimalist design, allowing for the raw materials and construction to speak for itself. The BCT (Brogue Capped Toe) model adds a brogued panel at the toe, offering an elegant balance between rugged workwear and formality.
This iteration features Horween's Wooly Chromexcel. This unique leather sees Horween's famous Chromexcel tannage heavily stuffed with unrefined lanolin, the natural "wool grease" found in a sheep's fleece, which gives the leather a smooth, glossy finish and supple feel. The leather's waxy finish and high pull-up allow for a slow, rich development. The boot comes anchored with a Commando outsole fused with a natural leather midsole and Viberg's signature stitch-down construction. Additional details include tonal stitching, a branded leather insole, and metal eyelets.
